what is breathwork?

Breathwork starts with breath awareness, and is a practice that involves deliberate and mindful control of the breath for the purpose of improving overall well-being, quality of experince and divine connectedness. It involves consciously altering one's breathing pattern, intentional inhalation, exhalation and hold patterns to achieve specific outcomes.    

There are various types of breathwork practices available; Holotropic,  Rebirthing, Pranayama, SOMA, Conscious Connected, Oxygen Advantage, Buteyko Breathing, The Wim Hof Method to name a few.

Breathflow class  

Each class will see you embark on a unique journey of breathwork that will harness the power of your breath to enhance your physical performance, mental clarity, spiritual connection, and general wellbeing.

The classes are designed like a yoga class, 60 mins, beginning with setting intentions to foster focus and increased self -awareness. You will then be guided through a series of functional breathing retraining techniques, each designed to optimise your breathing, increase energy levels, and reduce stress. The class will conclude with a relaxation or movement component, leaving you prepared and energised for the day or evening.

A seasoned entrepreneur with a journey spanning over three decades in the thriving property industry, John possesses not only business acumen but also a deep-rooted connection with the ocean and a passion for optimal health practices. This has led him to a powerful discovery about holistic health and a unique perspective on life.

As an avid surfer, his interest in breath techniques and breath holds grew from personal experience. He recognised from a young age that cultivating good health and breath practices translated to heightened energy levels, emotional equilibrium, and a bolstered immune system.

John's journey into self-discovery led him to delve deeply into the art of breathwork, enabling him to navigate his emotional states. This curiosity sparked studies in the Buteyko Institute Method, Oxygen Advantage,  Dr. Rosalba Courtney, Steph Magenta, Laird Hamilton, Breathless Training, Dan Brulé, among others.

His thirst for breathwork knowledge has taken him to Ireland, England, and within Australia to complete his studies. These teachings echoed his own experiences, illustrating the profound impact of conscious breathwork on health and well-being.
